Overview

The University of Iowa Department of Internal Medicine Division of Infectious Diseases is seeking an ABIM board eligible or board-certified Infectious Diseases physician at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor. This position will involve inpatient and outpatient consultative care for general Infectious Disease patients at the University of Iowa Health Care Medical Center on the University campus, Medical Center Downtown (MCD; community setting), and possibly limited time at Medical Center North Liberty (Orthopedic-ID consultation). Participation in an antimicrobial stewardship program at MCD may be included as well. Responsibilities

Provide inpatient and outpatient consultative care for general Infectious Disease patients. Participate in antimicrobial stewardship program at MCD as applicable. Qualifications

MD or equivalent required. ABIM board-eligible or board-certified in Infectious Diseases. Excellent communication skills and eligibility for medical licensure in Iowa. Evidence of strong clinical skills and interpersonal abilities; ability to interact with students, staff and faculty; experience fostering a welcoming and respectful workplace environment is strongly desirable.
