Overview

RAYUS Radiology is looking for an MRI Technologist to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. As an MRI technologist, you will operate your assigned scanner(s) to produce images for diagnostic purposes and provide patient-centered MRI services within professional standards and with excellent customer service. You will guide patients through the exam procedures and answer questions and concerns regarding the process. Position

This is a part-time position with varying hours Monday - Friday, 10 or 12 hour shifts. Essential duties and responsibilities

Screens patients before exam for precautions or contradictions, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure. Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures, describing the procedure and positioning patients so the relevant body part can be imaged. Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for diagnostic use by physicians, with minimal supervision or repeats, while providing patient support by talking to patients during the procedure. Adjusts MRI scan parameters as needed. Follows physicians\' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS). Maintains an orderly and clean work area including equipment to promote safety for patients and co-workers. Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements. MRI Department Support

Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades. Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary. Assists with training of new associates, providing resources and technical expertise as applicable. Other tasks

Completes other tasks as assigned. Qualifications

Minimum: ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing, depending on state regulations and business needs. Graduate of an AMA-approved school of radiography. Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification. Must have training and experience sufficient to competently perform MRI procedures independently. Certification in imaging specialty. Preferred
