Department Overview The department seeks qualified candidates to teach undergraduate courses in ASL-English Interpreting or other classes that may be identified as needed to fulfill educational goals of current students.
Responsibilities Adherence to university and system-wide policies. Preparation, delivery, proctoring, and grading of lectures, office hours, assignments, quizzes, projects, and exams. Schedule adherence in all course modes (asynchronous, synchronous, in-person, or hybrid).
Conditional Appointment Appointment is contingent upon budget and enrollment considerations, subject to collective bargaining agreement. Order of Work provisions apply.
Compensation Salary commensurate with qualifications. Temporary Faculty with a Master's degree ranges $5,507-6,677 per month for full time (15 WTUs).
Required Qualifications Master’s degree in ASL Interpreting or closely related field.
Preferred Qualifications Commitment to teaching excellence at the undergraduate level. Successful undergraduate teaching experience. Minimum 3 years ASL-English Interpreter, RID or comparable Certification.
