All interested applicants for a Non-CDL Driver position, including those fully qualified with appropriate license and endorsements, begin with us as a Driver in Training. A Driver in Training will be trained to obtain appropriate Driver endorsements, learn company policies and procedures, and, upon successful completion, will be placed in a Non-CDL Driver role. Responsibilities Include

Provides safe and reliable transportation by operating a school bus or other location-specific vehicle with a fixed or changing route. Exhibits high ethical standards and integrity; reports concerns about suspicious or inappropriate behavior to supervision. Reports to duty on time and maintains routes on schedule in a safe manner. Physically assists passengers in evacuation of the vehicle in case of emergency. Immediately reports any accident or incident per Company policy. Follows company policy around student and passenger management. Informs appropriate personnel of problems and procedures; presents a neat and professional appearance at all times. Completes all required paperwork (e.g., route change sheets, time cards, vehicle repair requests) and submits it promptly. Maintains a cooperative attitude with colleagues, supervisors, customers, and passengers while promoting company goodwill. Safely and efficiently utilizes vehicle equipment, including wheelchair lifts, radios, and emergency equipment. Performs other duties as assigned; additional responsibilities may apply for Paratransit Drivers per location. Qualifications

Must be at least 21 years of age; for Tennessee School Bus Drivers, at least 25 years of age per state law. Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain all valid applicable state licenses and certifications to operate company vehicles. Must meet physical and medical requirements and pass substance abuse screening. Must satisfactorily complete and pass all training. Must practice defensive driving at all times and maintain safe driving and work habits. Compliance with all applicable federal, state, county, district, and contract-specific Driver requirements.
