Cybervance is seeking a highly experienced, bilingual (English/Spanish) Digital Forensics and Cyber Investigations Instructor to deliver hands-on cybersecurity training. The successful candidate will be a U.S. citizen, an active-duty or recently retired law enforcement officer/detective (local or federal), and a recognized subject matter expert in digital investigations.
This role involves extensive field experience, instructional expertise, and technical fluency in Spanish to train on advanced computer and network forensics, cyber threat investigations, and open-source intelligence gathering. International travel is required.
Responsibilities
Deliver one-week in-person, instructor-led courses internationally on digital forensics, cybersecurity, and threat intelligence.
Conduct courses in expert-level Spanish, with technical fluency and clarity.
Share real-world experience from complex investigations involving computer systems, networks, mobile devices, social media, and cryptocurrency.
Customize course delivery for law enforcement audiences with varying digital proficiency levels.
Represent U.S. law enforcement standards, values, and methods internationally.
Support ICITAP's mission to strengthen international criminal justice and cybersecurity capacity.
Qualifications
U.S. Citizen, current or retired sworn law enforcement officer or detective.
Minimum 10 years of active investigative experience in digital forensics and cybercrime.
Fluent in spoken and written Spanish, capable of teaching technical concepts clearly.
Experience training law enforcement officers in digital forensics.
Active membership in IACIS.
Expertise in: Computer Forensics, Mobile Device Forensics, Social Media Investigations, Cryptocurrency and Blockchain Investigations, Network Intrusion & Incident Response.
Knowledge of digital evidence handling and chain-of-custody procedures.
Willingness to travel internationally for training sessions.
Preferred Skills and Certifications
IACIS CFCE or equivalent forensic certification.
SANS/GIAC certifications (GCIH, GCFA, GNFA, GCFE).
Experience with federal cybercrime units or international law enforcement collaboration.
