The Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform has thousands of students looking for online AP English Language and Composition tutors nationally. As a tutor on the Varsity Tutors Platform, you can set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make a real impact on students’ learning journeys—from the comfort of your home. Base contract rates start at $18/hour and increase for specialized subjects. You can earn higher pay for each session with the same student, up to $40/hour. Payments are issued up to twice per week for tutoring sessions conducted and invoiced. Responsibilities

Provide personalized 1-on-1 online AP English Language and Composition tutoring. Match with students best-suited to your teaching style and expertise. Leverage the AI-powered Tutor Copilot for real-time instructional support, lesson generation, and engagement features to save prep time and focus on instruction. Invoice for tutoring sessions; Varsity Tutors handles payments and logistics. What We Look For In a Tutor

Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style. Expertise in AP English Language and Composition with the ability to explain concepts clearly. Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles. Prior tutoring or teaching experience and graduate-level education are preferred. Ways To Connect With Students
