We are seeking a Sous Chef to manage the hourly back-of-house staff and assist in day-to-day kitchen operations across production, prep, stewarding, purchasing and receiving. You will ensure that all line cooks are trained to follow established recipes to maintain consistency of presentation and flavor. The Sous Chef will be able to effectively lead the kitchen in the absence of the Executive Chef, thinking positively and proactively to handle obstacles and solve potential issues, while maintaining a calm and motivated team under pressure. Responsibilities
Manage hourly back-of-house staff and assist in day-to-day kitchen operations across production, prep, stewarding, purchasing and receiving. Train line cooks to execute all menu items according to established recipes to ensure consistency of presentation and flavor. Lead the kitchen in the absence of the Executive Chef; think positively and proactively to handle obstacles and resolve issues. Maintain a cohesive team and a calm, productive work environment under pressure. Qualifications
3+ years of progressive culinary experience preferred, with at least one year in a Lead Cook or Sous Chef position. Compensation and Benefits
