Provide best-in-class guest service: greet guests, respond to questions/concerns promptly and courteously, assist guests with their video gaming needs, inform guests of promotions, recommend additional items, and circulate throughout the store to prioritize guests over tasks. Support the shopping environment, including visual and operational elements, current sales initiatives, and guest relationships that lead to sales and repeat business. Process guest purchases/returns accurately using the POS system, including handling cash, receipts, and providing high-quality guest service. Respond to guest comments or questions in person or on the phone; escalate issues to the Store Manager when appropriate. Promote GameStop guest benefits (e.g., new title reservations, trade-in program, Pro Rewards). Assist the Store Manager with setting guest service expectations and training store associates in company policies and procedures. Observe associate performance, provide feedback, and address issues to ensure alignment with guest service expectations. Provide recognition and feedback to store associates; document performance feedback in the HR system in partnership with the Store Manager. Ensure onboarding, job training, and compliance training are completed prior to opening or closing shifts; knowledge of store policies, inventory control, loss prevention, safety, financial protocol, and ethics. Schedule store associates, manage breaks, supervise staffing levels to maintain guest service quality. Approve payroll, manage paid time off, and verify time worked. Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and merchandising per company guidelines; ensure equipment is in proper working order. Fulfill Omni-Channel orders and shipments daily. Protect company assets through inventory control and loss prevention; conduct security checks at closing as appropriate; report concerns to the Store Manager. Support the team in meeting sales, profit, and shrink goals; complete required administrative duties. Perform store inventory counts, restock merchandise, and maintain organized shelves and fixtures. Balance daily transaction totals in the POS system; complete closeout paperwork and ensure cash availability and deposits as required. Verify shipments for discrepancies; record discrepancies and conduct inventories; communicate issues to Store/ District Manager. Process defectives/ recalls and stock pulls; label boxes and packing lists accurately. Maintain awareness of associate and guest safety; report injuries per guidelines. Maintain store records in an organized manner; keep manuals up to date. Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in the Store Manager’s absence. Adhere to GameStop policies and the Associate Handbook. Open and close procedures adherence. Qualifications

Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States. Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred. At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred. At least 2 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred. Video game knowledge preferred. Outgoing and welcoming personality with strong people skills. Provide genuine and individualized assistance to every guest. Clear verbal and written communication and listening skills; English proficiency; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change. Work independently and as part of a team; meet performance expectations. Operate the POS system; basic mathematics and alphabetizing skills. Complete required paperwork accurately; follow instructions in written, oral, or diagram form. Flexible schedule availability, including nights, weekends, and some holidays; minimum 3 days/week. Ability to manage pressure, be a problem solver, and maintain guest service quality. Reliable and trustworthy; exercise good judgment. Able to work alone and stand/move for extended periods; lift up to 30 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed. Onboarding knowledge applicable to positions on military bases where relevant.
