Job Details We have an amazing opportunity to join our fantastic Menzies Aviation team to lead our station in Los Angeles, CA. We are looking for an experienced Station Manager who has a genuine passion for looking after their people.

We are looking for someone who has a proven track record in managing a business unit, is fully conversant with airline ground handling procedures, aviation safety and security procedures.

Reports to Regional Director

Overview Safety, Security, and Environmental stewardship are core values. The General Manager is responsible for implementation and adherence to safety, security, quality, training policies, and SOPs as well as local, state, federal regulations. The incumbent must have ability to run a business in a challenging environment while maintaining strict corporate governance and financial guidelines.

Main Accountabilities

Fully responsible for the safety and well‑being of staff; promoting a Safety‑First culture.

Implementation and adherence to safety, security, quality, and training policies and SOPs.

Leads and collaborates with the senior team to maintain and enhance safety and security systems.

Participates in the development of station‑level budgets.

Ensures processes are sufficient for inventory and accounting of all Company assets, consumable parts, contracted services and vendor payments.

Fully accountable for financial performance and compliance with Corporate Governance and Legal aspects.

Regularly interacts with customers to promote the station and measure level of customer satisfaction.

Pursues opportunities for new business and growth of existing services.

Ensures the development and implementation of emergency response plans and compliance with security manuals.

Directs and motivates Managers to achieve agreed targets.

Reviews leading and lagging indicators of safety and operational performance.

Ensures firm, fair, and consistent accountability for compliance with work rules and policies.

Safety, Security and Compliance All employees have a responsibility and duty whilst at work to take reasonable care for health and safety of themselves and others. Co‑operate with manager/supervisor to comply with legal requirements. Inform manager of any work situation, equipment or activity that represents a serious danger. Report any hazards, near misses, incidents. Carry out work in accordance with training and specific workplace health and safety rules.

Qualifications And Experience

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four‑year college or university; or five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Excellent leadership and people management skills.

Experience in business development, sales, and commercial negotiation & pricing.

Wide‑ranging general management experience, with some years of senior management experience.

Extensive management and/or support service experience, preferably in Airport ground Handling environment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills balanced with a high level of confidence to influence and present at all levels.

Able to influence, engage and motivate at all levels.

Must hold employment authority to work in USA.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Possess and maintain current valid driver’s license.

Proficiency in desktop computing applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Must pass a criminal background check and pre‑employment drug test.

Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
