Assistant Residence Managers

The
Assistant Residence Manager
reports directly to the Residence Manager. Responsible for the implementation of day-to-day activities and efficient operation of residential settings serving the people we support in accordance with CRSI and Medicaid Policies, and OPWDD Regulations.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required
One year’s experience working with people with developmental disabilities
Six months’ supervisory experience preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Valid NY State Driver’s License is required
Responsibilities
Provide ongoing protective oversight to people living in the residence
24/7 On-Call accessibility
Assist with staff scheduling, personnel related issues, staff training and other delegated tasks
Provide ongoing supervision of residential staff on a daily basis through visible leadership
Provide assistance and instruction for each person in basic activities of daily living
Provide training and support for each person in accordance with the person’s program plan
Mandated reporter required to cooperate with any and all investigations
Assist in the completion of staff performance evaluations consistent with Core Competencies
Participate as required at all team meetings, life plan meetings and OPWDD surveys
Be available to all staff for coaching and observation and encourage Person Centered Supports
Participate in the recruitment, selection, retention, and evaluation of staff
Successful completion and maintenance of all certifications (AMAP, SCIP, CPR)
Lifting is required, which may include a 2-person transfer, laundry, groceries etc.
Drive agency vehicles; demonstrate safe driving practices; participate in the driver safety course
Ensure cleanliness of vehicles; address any maintenance issues
Responsible for NYS Vehicle Inspection and all routine maintenance of agency vehicles
Maintain a clean and safe environment including a weekly walk-through with Residence Manager
Properly use and maintain household equipment and appliances including lifts
Attend all required meetings and training courses on time and prepared, and always represent the agency in a professional manner
Ensure adherence to agency quality standards of operation; make decisions in conjunction with and in the absence of the Residence Manager that drives operational processes
Working knowledge of agency software (i.e.: Evero, Outlook, Paycom etc.). Must assure adherence to daily data collection and billing integrity consistent with Medicaid standards
Responsible for adhering to all agency policies and quality standards of operation
Assist in planning, coordinating, and attending community integration/inclusion opportunities outside of the residence and providing meaningful activities within the residence
Adhere to deadlines for document completion and submissions as necessary
Establish and maintain professional, positive relationships with employees, program participants, families and team members
Perform other duties as assigned
Details Pay Rate: 51,000 per year - Full Time
Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday 2pm - 10pm
