Overview
Head Sous Chef - JOEY Southcenter role at JOEY Restaurant Group. This position contributes to the overall success of a multi-million-dollar restaurant and its people by leading the kitchen team, ensuring memorable, consistent, and iconic culinary experiences, and managing budgets and standards. Base pay range
$78,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr Annual Salary Range: $78,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year. Actual salary offer within the listed range may vary based on work experience and other objective factors. The pay range is subject to change in compliance with applicable laws. Responsibilities
Lead and coach the kitchen team to deliver world-class execution of JOEY tasks and standards. Support the team in the preparation of all ingredients and food products to fulfill prep lists, par levels, and recipe standards. Utilize various preparation and cooking methods to ensure quick, precise creation of menu items in accordance with JOEY recipes. Wash, chop, cut, grill, roast, sauté, fry, etc. Coordinate with other stations as needed. Maintain prep and cooking areas; ensure clean, sanitary, and safe work environments; keep refrigerators, ovens, and storage areas organized. Train partners on safe usage of kitchen equipment and cleaning compounds; report equipment problems and maintenance issues promptly. Fulfill recruitment needs, influence candidate experiences, and participate in selecting and retaining team members. Coach the team in training and development of technical knowledge and execution of JOEY standards. Communicate daily focus and feedback to partners. Manage in-store budgets, food costs, and labor; contribute to delivering Iconic Hospitality. Follow all food service and handling safety precautions and procedures. Basic Qualifications
3+ years culinary experience (high potential candidates with less experience encouraged to apply). Valid local and/or state Food Handler permits or ability to obtain. Passion for hospitality with a track record of creating world-class experiences. Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Ability to walk/stand for extended periods; frequent bending/reaching; ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
