Intervention Specialist - ChanceLight
ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education is seeking an Intervention Specialist to join our Special Education team. Starting salary is $65,000-$80,000 per year based on experience, plus a $2,500 sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities
Lead the instructional process for students in Grades K-5 with IEPs, designing dynamic and personalized learning experiences within the learning center and/or classroom.
Deliver targeted instruction, utilize innovative curriculum resources and educational software, and create comprehensive lesson plans and schedules aligned with state and school standards.
Create an inclusive, collaborative environment involving students, parents, colleagues, and administrators.
Establish a classroom climate based on mutual respect, fairness, and clear expectations, emphasizing social development and positive group interactions using PBIS.
Implement and reinforce school-wide and classroom PBIS strategies, behavior expectations, reward systems, and appropriate consequences.
Track and document student progress, maintain files, and generate reports detailing achievements and activities.
Differentiate instruction individually or in collaboration with co-teachers to meet IEP goals; adapt curricular content and instructional approaches for diverse learning styles.
Guide instructional staff on differentiation methods and utilize varied instructional methods and software to support diverse needs.
Manage student caseloads, including developing and updating IEPs, goals, and interventions.
Prepare daily lesson plans and organize instructional materials aligned with curriculum standards and individual objectives.
Maintain an organized, safe, and welcoming classroom; manage supplies and resources according to procedures.
Stay informed on current research-based practices in special education and related areas to enhance effectiveness.
Respond to feedback from evaluations and observations and pursue ongoing professional growth.
Support the school community by performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in education, special education, or related field.
Meet all Ohio state teaching license and/or certification requirements.
Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining an Ohio state special education credential.
Experience with curriculum development, differentiation, and instruction, preferably in a special education classroom.
Knowledge of special education services and compliance for students with severe learning disabilities, behavioral disorders, or emotional disturbance.
Experience with students who have IEPs.
Proven ability to develop and implement education plans for students with diverse needs.
Strong communication, organizational, conflict resolution, multitasking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Ability to think and act quickly and calmly in emergencies and make independent decisions.
Knowledge of technology, instructional tech, Microsoft Office Suite, database entry, and basic office equipment.
