Duties and Responsibilities
Provide clinic-based ABA services to EBH patients and families
Supervise implementation of treatment to ensure satisfactory protocol implementation
Conduct initial and follow-up assessments and parent questionnaires
Develop and write individualized behavior acquisition programs
Conduct descriptive and functional analyses as part of functional assessments
Write behavior intervention plans for behavior reduction targets
Develop and write initial treatment plans and update plans per best practice and insurance guidelines
Implement and supervise data collection systems
Provide behavioral support for patients in an interdisciplinary setting
Evaluate and report patient progress toward treatment goals; oversee transition and discharge plans
Conduct individual and group trainings for parents/caregivers as needed
Attend department and interdisciplinary staff meetings
Maintain BCBA certification by continuing education in BACB categories
Obtain and maintain state licensure
Adhere to the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts
Requirements
Master’s degree in Behavior Analysis or related field
Board certification and in good standing as a BCBA
Current BCBA licensure in Texas
Minimum of 2 years working with children with autism spectrum disorder or other developmental disabilities
Competencies: Planning and Evaluating, Problem-Solving, Customer Service, Decision Making, Interpersonal Skills, Time Management, Written and Oral Communication
Physical Requirements
Must be able to move or transport up to 50 lbs
Must be able to participate in 6–8 hour sessions, including responding to elopement or aggression
Must be able to sit on the floor when needed and transition to standing quickly to respond to behavior
Must be able to bend or twist to utilize physical management and maintain holds when necessary
