Repair and Tool Technician

involves evaluating and repairing small engines, outdoor power equipment and handheld electrical devices. This position makes equipment recommendations and ensures that units are maintained. Technicians work in both our stores with Tool Rental Centers and in our repair centers. In a store, technicians provide service to store customers in Tool Rental, including writing customer contracts and invoices for equipment rental and tool repairs, checking that tools operate properly, and demonstrating proper use as needed. In addition to supporting customer repair needs, they are responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of equipment in the Tool Rental department. In non-store locations, technicians repair units, test for repair quality, and clean units before returning to the originating store. Technicians must have a thorough knowledge of all tools and effectively manage the tool inventory by maintaining and repairing them as necessary.
Responsibilities

Provide equipment recommendations and ensure units are maintained.
In-store duties: service Tool Rental customers, write contracts and invoices for equipment rental and tool repairs, verify tool operation and demonstrate proper use as needed.
Maintain day-to-day operation and upkeep of equipment in the Tool Rental department.
In non-store locations: repair units, test the quality of repairs, and clean units before returning to the originating store.
Maintain thorough knowledge of all tools and manage tool inventory by maintaining and repairing tools as necessary.
Base pay range $24.00/hr - $24.00/hr
