Test and Inspection of all different types of low voltage systems, makes and models. Able to complete test and inspections per NFPA72 and other standards Use company software to input testing results. All work completed on iPads, some minimal technology skills needed Able to tag systems using current FAL License with the State of Texas Analysis and troubleshooting of fire alarm systems including Ground-Faults, Shorts, Wire Integrity, Termination, Panel, Fuses, Battery Testing and much more Program dialers for monitoring. Phone line traditional and cell phone monitoring skills needed Complete basic repairs and installations including moves, add, relocate for all types of systems and devices Complete final reports, deficiency reports and possible bids via a computer and/or tablet Interact with clients, field personnel and fire marshals Willing for occasional travel Handle low voltage wiring and corresponding devices for the operation of low voltage equipment Responsible for operating with minimal supervision while performing fire protection inspections Daily communications with Project Manager and/or Schedule Coordinator on inspection or project delays, requirements and general status of job Work with Project Manager, Schedule Coordinator and Office Administrative Staff to ensure complete closeout and turnover of jobs to the client (Confirm that work is completed so it can be billed in full) Job Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent is required NICET preferred for experienced Technician Field installation experience is a plus Solid knowledge of NFPA 72, Factory Mutual and applicable codes is preferred Possess an understanding of expenses and scheduling Manufactures certifications are preferred but not required (EST, Gamewell, FCI, Notifier, Honeywell, Simplex, Siemens, Radionics, Firelite, Silent Night) Willing to obtain additional licenses required by WSFP FAL License required Strong working knowledge of life safety and NFPA codes Willing to perform testing and maintenance Able to complete documentation as necessary, proficient in the use of personal computers and Microsoft Office, with or without reasonable accommodation Willing to coordinate between inspection deficiencies and service required to correct found deficiencies Prepared to read and write English clearly Capability to present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, AHJs (Authorities Having Jurisdiction) and the general public Possess a valid driver’s license, in accordance with Company policy Willing to pass post-offer drug screen, background and reference check Physical Requirements
