Overview Job Title: Post Doctoral Scholar

Department: Arts and Sciences | Molecular Genetics Administration. The Belote Lab is seeking a Postdoctoral Scholar. Located within the Department of Molecular Genetics in the College of Arts and Sciences, the lab investigates how individual melanocytes, commonly known as pigment cells, contribute to multi-organ health through functional diversification. We leverage our understanding of healthy melanocyte heterogeneity to uncover mechanistic explanations for the clinical diversity observed in melanocyte-associated diseases (including melanoma, vitiligo, psoriasis, and atopic dermatitis), with the goal of informing novel therapeutic approaches. Many of our studies use human and murine models and employ a wide range of techniques to interrogate systems ranging from intact fresh tissue to individual cells. The Postdoctoral Scholar will contribute to ongoing projects investigating melanocyte involvement in inflammatory diseases.

This is a full-time position with an initial one-year appointment and the possibility of annual renewal based on performance and funding.

Responsibilities The Postdoctoral Scholar will contribute to ongoing projects investigating melanocyte involvement in inflammatory diseases.
