Overview

Social Services Director role at Tutera Senior Living and Health Care in St. Pauls Senior Living, Belleville, IL. The position involves planning, developing, organizing, evaluating, and directing the overall operation of the Social Services department in accordance with the NASW Code of Ethics and in compliance with Federal, State, and Local guidelines and regulations, company policies and procedures, and governing agencies. The role also focuses on fostering a climate, policies, and routines that enable residents to maximize their individuality, independence, and dignity, and to provide for their physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being and quality of life. The director identifies psychosocial, mental, and emotional needs and facilitates access to services to meet those needs.

What Will You Do in This Role? As a Social Services Director, you will be responsible for planning, developing, organizing, evaluating, and directing the overall operation of the Social Services department in accordance with the NASW Code of Ethics and in compliance with Federal, State, and Local guidelines and regulations, company policies and procedures, and governing agencies. You will foster a climate, policies, and routines that enable residents to maximize their individuality, independence, and dignity, providing for the highest practical level of physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being and quality of life. You will identify psychosocial, mental, and emotional needs and provide, develop, and/or aid in the access of services to meet those needs.

Qualifications

A fire and passion for working with seniors

A flexible, fun, and energetic personality

Certified, licensed, or registered in the state of practice

Bachelor’s degree in social work or a human services field required

Minimum of one year of supervisory social work experience in a health care setting working primarily with the geriatric population required

Minimum of two years of prior experience in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting required

Professional image in both appearance and behavior

Excellent written and oral communication skills
