Key Responsibilities:
Deliver class and clinical instruction based on an approved curriculum using effective teaching methods.
Supervise students in clinical settings, assessing their ability to apply classroom knowledge, master skills, communicate effectively, and plan patient care.
Develop lesson plans, advise and tutor students, maintain attendance and grade records, and stay current in your teaching field.
Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and in-service training sessions.
Engage in college activities such as in-services, student functions, graduation, open houses, orientations, and advisory board meetings.
Support student success through quality instruction, aiming for achievement of academic goals, retention, and preparation for healthcare roles.
Qualifications: Experience: Option 1: At least 2 years of nursing experience as an RN or LVN within the last 5 years.
Option 2: A total of 6 years of nursing experience as LVN and RN combined, or 6 years of either.
Education: Option 1: Baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution recognized by the DOE, or completion of a teaching certification course, or at least 1 year of full-time teaching experience in a state-accredited nursing school within the last 5 years.
Option 2: Meet community college or state university educational minimums (ADN) in CA.
Licenses and Certifications:
Current active California LVN or RN license.
Current CPR certification.
Salary Range: USD $37.72 - USD $54.69 per hour. Bonus eligible: No
