We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and dedicated

Special Education Aide

to support students with learning differences in achieving academic and personal success. This role is ideal for someone who loves working one-on-one and in small groups with students, enjoys being part of a collaborative school team, and believes that every child — regardless of background or ability — can reach their fullest potential. What You’ll Do

Instructional & Student Support: Provide academic and behavioral support to students individually, in small groups, and in classroom settings. Reinforce instruction in core reading and ELA areas, including decoding, phonics, comprehension, fluency, and vocabulary. Assist students in achieving their IEP goals, tracking progress, and celebrating growth. Encourage engagement and participation in classroom activities. Collaboration & Communication: Partner closely with the classroom teacher and Education Specialist to implement instructional plans and interventions; communicate regularly about student performance and behavior; maintain accurate records, logs, and reports as required. School Culture & Supervision: Supervise students during transitions, lunch, and P.E.; promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment that reflects Fortune School’s mission and values; maintain confidentiality and uphold professional conduct at all times. Work with students in small groups, 1:1 and/or large groups; work with students with learning disabilities. Working Environment / Physical Demands

Office environment: constant interruptions. Outdoor environment: driving a personal vehicle to conduct work; visit school sites; travel to other organizations and companies; meetings and workshops. What You’ll Bring

Education and Experience (must meet one of the following): 48 semester units from an accredited college or university, or Associate’s degree (or higher), or Passing score on a local assessment of instructional knowledge and skills, or Passing score on a district-approved NCLB Local Assessment Test.
