Location: Lincolnshire, Illinois Base pay range: $43,888.00/yr Overview The house manager is a crucial member of the customer service team, leading the ushers in providing a phenomenal guest experience in the theatre. The role requires strong organization, dependability, collaboration with diverse personalities, solid problem-solving skills, and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Provide outstanding customer service to theatre guests Prepare weekly schedule of ushers Train and manage ushers Pre-show preparation: programs and handouts, signage, and lobby TV checks Ensure smooth patron seating and address seating issues Coordinate with box office on seating holds and patron information Assist patrons with questions, accessibility needs and seating issues Communicate with stage management on nightly operations (house opening, start of performance, late seating) Monitor lobby and bathroom cleanliness Monitor activity during performances Communicate and assist with security and emergency incidents Prepare House Manager reports Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent Excellent communication and commitment to exceptional customer service Flexible schedule, evenings and weekends required Supervisory Responsibilities
Responsible for supervision of Ushers Language Skills
Must be able to communicate clearly with guests, customers, supervisors and team members Physical Demands
Must be able to lift/push/pull as necessary up to 30 pounds. Standing, walking, bending, and reaching required; reasonable accommodations may be made for disabilities. Hours
Roles in hospitality may require rotating shifts, including weekends, nights, and overtime. Hours may be reduced based on business demand. Benefits
