Position Purpose: To assist the Production Floor Supervisor in managing daily shredding operations. This role requires a hands-on approach to executing the daily operational plan, maintaining production efficiency, and ensuring team safety and performance. Reports to the Production Floor Manager. Works closely with Paper Warehouse Associates and other Operations Employees. Responsibilities
Execute the daily operational plan provided by the Production Floor Supervisor. Participate in daily huddles to align with team goals and production targets. Track and report daily production metrics to monitor team performance. Communicate operational needs, challenges, and resource requirements to the Supervisor. Oversee and assist with daily preventative maintenance (PM) tasks, ensuring equipment reliability and safety. Provide hands-on assistance across all production floor functions, including operating shredding equipment and managing workflow. Train staff on equipment operations, safety protocols, and production processes to ensure consistency and compliance. Foster a positive and safety-conscious work environment, holding team members accountable for adherence to procedures. Measures of Effectiveness
Operational execution: adherence to the daily plan with tasks and goals completed Volume of throughput/material processed Efficiency and camaraderie of the team Ongoing training and development of Production Floor Employees Equipment handling including regular PMs and reduced equipment downtime Timely and accurate reporting of daily and weekly metrics Communicating and addressing issues to maintain optimal workflow Identifying and assisting in solving operational challenges Requirements and Qualifications
