Overview

Sr. Associate, Risk Manager, Customer Identity Management Team As a Sr. Associate, Risk Manager on the Customer Identity Management Team, you will be part of a team focused on Operational Excellence for the Customer Identity landscape. The role supports monitoring, reporting and planning of process improvements and redesign initiatives for the customer identity L2. You will collect and analyze data to support recommendations and manage formal process documents. You will collaborate on project/agile risk teams and broader enterprise initiatives to represent the business for changes that may impact US Card department processes. You will manage the end-to-end control risk environment to drive risk reduction through preventive control enhancements and collaborate with 2nd line stakeholders to drive risk management activities through risk/issue event management. Design a new control environment based on risk modeling to ensure proper control mix and perpetual audit readiness.

General Responsibilities:

Execution and support of the Customer Identity control ecosystem while enhancing existing process documentation and playbooks

Lead incident support, awareness, and drive resolution with engagement across partner teams including Ops, Tech, Product, Compliance, and Intent

Engage with partner teams to drive opportunities for Customer Identity through relationships and collaboration

Lead projects in support of the broader Customer Identity Excellence strategy

Leverage data and technology to enhance monitoring and reduce manual processes

Ensure a well-managed risk approach to tools and documented processes used to deliver quality analysis and results

Oversee day-to-day processes that may include risk management of defects and controls: monitor, report, and plan process improvements or redesigns; define, establish, and manage process controls; identify opportunities and implement changes with other groups; make final recommendations for approval

Collect, analyze and measure data to initiate sustainable business practices and for reporting to senior leadership; review data for trends and gaps that may require further review

Resolve complex risk defects or transactions, interpreting against controls, policies, and procedures; escalate breakdowns and involve the right stakeholders to correct issues

Maintain formal process documents (procedures, work instructions, process artifacts and diagrams) and document processes, controls, risk management activities and projects

Collaborate on larger initiatives, represent department interests in change control forums, participate in cross-functional project teams to provide input and support execution efforts

Provide customer service and training to internal customers on specific processes; may deliver presentations up to executive level

Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification

At least 2 years of experience in Business Process Management, Project Management, Relationship Management, Risk Management or Control testing

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree or military experience

3+ years of Process Management, Risk Management, Relationship Management, Control Testing or Project Management experience

Lean, Agile, Six Sigma, Business Process Management, or Project Management certification

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. This salary information is for candidates hired to work within the listed locations. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based on hours worked.

Richmond, VA: $86,000 - $98,200 for Sr. Risk Associate

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location. The actual annualized salary offered will be in the offer letter. This role is eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives depending on the plan.
