LOCATION OF POSITION MDH, Charles County Health Department, White Plains, MD
Main Purpose of Job The main purpose of this position is to learn to become competent in providing para‑professional services to clients in the WIC Program as per program guidelines and mandates. This position will include eligibility determination, health and nutrition screening and referral services, and providing basic health, breastfeeding, and nutrition information. Employees in this class also issue EWIC benefits to program participants under supervision and travel to off‑site clinics for coverage when needed. This position will be stationed in St Mary's County.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: None.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred candidate should be bilingual.
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.
