Sofar Ocean builds and deploys thousands of low-cost, global, open ocean sensors to remote and harsh environments, and we're growing! We're seeking an Inventory & Warehouse Lead to join our Supply Chain team. This role combines hands-on expertise in warehouse management with advanced shipping and logistics skills, ensuring smooth movement of materials and finished goods both domestically and internationally. You are an organized, hands-on multitasker who enjoys wearing many hats in a small and fast-moving team. You\'ll play a core role in managing inventory levels, incoming receiving, inventory control, assisting with cycle counts, pick/pack, fulfillment and shipping, along with a variety of other tasks to support the supply chain and production teams. This role would work onsite from our Pier 28 location in San Francisco, CA. Typical hours are 7:30am - 4:30pm, reporting to Sofar’s Supply Chain Manager. Impact You’ll Own: Warehouse

Receiving, documenting, processing, labeling, storing and general management of all incoming stock and general warehouse functions. Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and ERP/MRP updates. Implement and refine systems for consumables and shipping supply replenishment. Work closely with supply chain, production and engineering to track and coordinate the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials. Ensuring basic maintenance standards and compliance with health and safety regulations. Examine the levels of supplies and raw material to determine shortages. Prepare detailed reports on inventory operations, stock levels, and adjustments. Implement and manage Kanban system for consumables, shipping supplies, etc. Navigate MRP and PLM systems to review stock and BOM structure Support Production in completing stock adjustments, transfers, cycle counts and material picking and packing. Support weekly, quarterly, annual cycle counts. Shipping

Checking fulfillment orders and deliveries for accuracy. Process, pick and ship orders accurately and on time (including packaging packout to multiple pallet strap and wrap). Prepare and manage shipping documentation, including customs forms and compliance requirements. Collaborate with carriers and freight forwarders to resolve shipping challenges and track performance. Coordinate with production to align shipping schedules with build and deployment plans. Document daily deliveries and shipments to update inventory. Compare purchase orders with invoices and packaging lists per 3-way tie-out. About You

H.S. Diploma or GED required. Minimum 3-5 years hands on experience with receiving, inventory control, pick/pack and shipping tasks and activities, preferably in a start-up environment. Not afraid to get your hands dirty and move material, but also a keen sense of detail. Forklift experience a must have Excellent understanding of general ERP/MRP transactions. Strong understanding of domestic and international shipping regulations and carriers. Physical Challenges

Ability to operate hand truck, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment. Ability to lift 50+ pounds on a regular basis. Ability to be on your feet for extended periods Ability to climb stairs Estimated Salary Range

$35 - $45 per hour The range listed is what we reasonably expect to pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and may be modified in the future.
