Job Description Sample Control Technician in Tustin, CA. Responsibilities include:
Perform all duties outlined in the Standard Operating Procedure for Sample Control Technicians.
Receive, log in, and label samples, and bottle orders for sign‑in and analysis.
Count the number of samples, verify the chain of custody, and ensure samples match the recorded count.
Inspect samples for damage and maintain sample integrity.
Interact with Project Managers and clients professionally.
Restock supplies and maintain the shipping/receiving area to ensure safety.
Perform on‑site sampling events as required.
Dispose of samples per EPA and safety guidelines and label them after login as needed.
May be assigned other sample control duties as identified by laboratory management.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience in a fast‑paced production, food service, or retail environment preferred.
Computer skills preferred.
Ability to prioritize tasks.
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
Professional working proficiency in English required.
Compensation $18‑$21 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Full‑time with overtime and possible weekends.
Shift schedule:
Tues‑Fri 11:00 am‑8:00 pm and Sat 8:00 am‑5:00 pm.
Tues‑Fri 1:00 pm‑10:00 pm and Sat 8:00 am‑5:00 pm.
