Education Manager
at ASBO International plays a key role in delivering high-impact professional development experiences that support school business professionals. This position focuses heavily on the planning and execution of in-person events, including speaker management, session coordination, and logistics, while also supporting ASBO’s broader educational initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Education, ensures that ASBO’s events and programs are innovative, relevant, and aligned with the organization’s strategic goals of leadership development, operational excellence, and member engagement. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Event & Speaker Management Lead the planning and execution of educational programming for ASBOs’ in-person events, including the Annual Conference & Expo, Leadership Forum, and Eagle Institute. Manage the full lifecycle of session submissions, including call for proposals, review processes, speaker outreach, and scheduling. Serve as the primary point of contact for speakers, ensuring timely communication, onboarding, and support. Coordinate session logistics, including room setups, AV needs, and on-site support. Collaborate with the meetings and marketing teams to ensure seamless event delivery and promotion. Program Development & Delivery Support the development of webinars, workshops, and online courses in alignment with ASBO’s strategic priorities. Work with subject matter experts to curate timely and relevant content for both virtual and in-person audiences. Ensure educational offerings meet quality benchmarks and professional standards. Technology & Platforms Manage online education platforms and monitor vendor performance. Facilitate engagement on the Global School Business Network. Support integration of educational content across ASBO’s digital channels. Provide content updates for education-related web pages and materials. Evaluation & Improvement Collect and analyze participant feedback and session evaluations. Use data insights to inform future programming and speaker selection. Implement strategies for continuous improvement across all educational offerings. Compliance & Standards Assist the Director of Education in maintaining compliance with NASBA. Ensure educational programs meet education requirements and professional standards. Required Knowledge & Skills
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-oriented environment. Experience with abstract systems or platforms for speaker and session management (e.g., eShow, Cvent, CadmiumCD, or similar tools). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on speaker and stakeholder engagement. Detail-oriented with creative problem-solving abilities. Self-motivated learner with a positive, can-do attitude. Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
