FTCE - Florida Teacher Certification Examinations Tutor role at Varsity Tutors, a Nerdy Company. The Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform connects thousands of students nationwide with online FTCE tutors. As a tutor, you’ll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make an impact on students’ learning journeys—from your home. Why join our platform: base contract rates start at $18/hour and increase for specialized subjects, with potential to earn up to $40/hour as you work with the same student over multiple sessions. You’ll be paid up to twice per week for tutoring sessions you conduct and invoice. Set your own hours, tutor remotely on our Live Learning Platform, and be matched with students aligned to your teaching style and expertise. Our AI-powered Tutor Copilot provides real-time instructional support, lesson generation, and engagement features to save prep time and enhance teaching. We handle logistics—you invoice for sessions, and we process payments. Responsibilities
Provide 1-on-1 online FTCE tutoring to individual students. Offer instant (on-demand) tutoring requests when you’re available. Qualifications
Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style. Expertise in FTCE and the ability to explain concepts clearly.
