Overview
As a Journeyman Draftsman, you will provide essential drafting and technical drawing support for the planning, documentation, and execution of modernization projects. The Journeyman Draftsman is responsible for creating and updating detailed drawings, schematics, and site layouts that accurately reflect the configuration and evolution of the architecture. This position will work closely with engineers, project managers, and configuration management teams, ensuring that all design documents align with technical standards, specifications, and mission requirements. Position will be located at Los Angeles SFB. This position is contingent upon successful contract award to V2X. Responsibilities
Uses AutoCAD and Visio design tools to create network topology diagrams, DoDAF artifacts, and other drawings. Provides drawing packages to Site Survey teams. Maintains installation red-line drawings. Provides AutoCAD support to engineers in development of the DAF SPRIP for Preliminary and Critical Integration Reviews, and Integration Plan Acceptance. Prepares network topology diagrams of CACI’s Network Integration Lab IAW the DoDAF OVs (OV-1/OV-2) and/or SVs (SV-1/SV-2). Prepares network topology diagrams of the NOC. Material & Equipment Directly Used
Proficient with AutoCAD, MS Visio, MS Teams, MS Office Suite. Experience with DoD contracts and development of network architecture drawings preferred. Working Environment
Office environment with potential to support austere locations. Physical Activities
Must be able to lift / carry 50 lbs. Qualifications
Education / Certifications
BA / BS; Or Associate Degree; Or High School Diploma. Experience / Skills
3 years with BA / BS; Or 5 years with Associate Degree; Or Minimum of 7 years of experience as Draftsman / AutoCAD Specialist supporting large, complex programs / systems. Clearance Requirement
