Sales Representative Job Description
The Sales Representative represents the company during the sales process by collecting data on customer needs and design specifications, soliciting new customers, generating sales, and acting as a liaison between inside design staff, production staff, and customers in developing sales proposals. The majority of daily activities involve making sales calls away from the employer’s place of business to obtain orders or contracts for services and products. Responsibilities: Research, identify, and solicit new customers. Generate sales opportunities through research on client needs, industry competition, and effective demonstration of the features and benefits of company products and services. Take measurements and collect specification information at the customer’s site. Develop an understanding of customer needs and match those needs with company products and services. Plan and conduct sales presentations for current and prospective customers. Design professional presentations of company products and services, clarifying how we can meet their specific needs. Resolve issues or escalate them to the appropriate employee for resolution. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, or a related field, plus two (2) years of industry sales experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional Information:
