Core Responsibilities

Greet and engage with customers asking questions to understand their needs and preferences.

Present and demonstrate vehicles that align with the customer’s preferences, highlighting features, benefits and the brand’s technology.

Conduct test drives and explain warranties, maintenance, and service programs, emphasizing their value.

Work with the customer and Sales Manager to negotiate pricing and close the deal.

Ensure the timely and accurate completion of sales and financing paperwork.

Stay current on Volkswagen products, features, promotions and financing options.

Personally deliver sold vehicles and assist with technology set-up, ensuring the customer leaves feeling confident about their purchase.

Follow-up with prospective and existing customers to maintain relationships and earn additional business.

Respond to online and phone inquiries and generate showroom appointments, logging all activities in the CRM system.

Desired Qualifications and Experience

At least 1 year of experience working in a related role (customer service, retail sales, business development, etc.) is required. Prior success in automotive sales is preferred.

Demonstrates commitment to customer satisfaction through excellent customer service and communication skills.

Polished interpersonal skills to build rapport, understand and overcome objections, and find solutions that satisfy both the customer and the dealership’s goals.

Achievement driven, self-motivated, confident and resilient.

Technology proficiency; easily adapts to new computer software and vehicle technology.

Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Ability to successfully complete Chapman’s pre-employment screenings including a background check and drug test.

Hours and Work Environment Our Sales Department is open 8am to 9pm Monday - Friday and 8am to 8pm on Saturdays. We are closed Sundays. This onsite, customer-centric role requires flexible availability to work various shifts including days, evenings, Saturdays and holidays.
