Overview

The Retail Associate is responsible for ensuring our customers have a positive shopping experience. The Associate greets customers, maintains a clean work area, ensures proper merchandise presentation, and performs a range of tasks in all store areas as needed to support customer service and store operations. Essential Functions

Understands that safety is the number one priority and practices safe behaviors in everything they do. Maintains a high level of awareness on the sales floor to create a safe and secure shopping environment; keep egress clear and report unsafe conditions to Store Leadership. Treats customers and fellow associates with respect and courtesy; friendly and professional at all times. Assists customers and is register-trained; greets customers, helps with merchandise, and answers questions in a polite and knowledgeable manner. Provides prompt and efficient responses to customers; handles issues courteously and escalates to Store Leadership when needed. Represents and supports the Company brand at all times. Performs cleaning tasks and replenishes restroom supplies to maintain a clean store and work areas. Maintains a professional appearance and adheres to the dress code. Performs daily sizing and recovery to ensure the store is neat, clean, and merchandised to standards. Receives and expedites new merchandise to the sales floor following company guidelines and presentation standards. Understands Loss Prevention practices and protection standards. Safeguards confidential information, cash, and merchandise; follows all relevant policy requirements. Follows MOS (Market-Out-of-Stock) policies and notifies leadership for reviews of disposals. Handles cash and transactions accurately and adheres to offline procedures. Demonstrates urgency to maximize productivity and efficiency in store processes. Competencies

Effective communication with customers, associates, and store leadership in a friendly, respectful manner. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments. Physical Requirements / ADA

Ability to operate store equipment (PDTs, registers, PC) as required. Ability to stand, walk, and move around the store up to 100% of working time. Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, reach, stoop; ability to lift/carry more than 25 pounds as needed. Ability to use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other supplies. Stockroom shifts may require lifting more than 20 pounds. Supervisory Responsibilities
