Outside Sales Representative - Distribution

to grow the distribution market in North America and establish key relationships with distributors. This position will report to the USA Director & FES Sales Manager and be based in Houston, Texas (Hybrid).

Responsibilities Sales & Business Development

Follow the complete Sales Process and Business Development within North America, mainly Houston area for designated accounts

Grow the Distribution Market in North America for specialized valve solutions, establishing contacts and managing accounts

Focus on Project strategy development with Distributors including MRC, Sunbelt, Ferguson, DNOW, PSP, QRC

Conduct regular travel and in-person meetings with distributors and customers

Technical Sales & Customer Relations

Use sales/business acumen to analyze customer needs and execute on all opportunities

Make technical sales focusing on technical solutions and their benefits to customers

Understand and communicate technical information related to Oil Refinery processes, valves, and complementary equipment

Establish long-lasting relationships with different types of clients and environments

Collaborate with HQ engineering department, offer management, project management, and accounting departments

Transmit customer information correctly to internal teams

Work with USA Director on account strategy and business development initiatives

Travel once or twice per year to Spain and periodically within the US

Qualifications Education & Experience

3-5 years in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, LNG Industries, or Refinery industries with technical expertise related to valves or equipment

Hunter personality with business development style and proven success sourcing and closing leads

Customer service experience with an engaging disposition

Required Skills

Commercial & Technical background with knowledge of Oil Refinery processes, valves, or complementary equipment

Knowledge of API, ASME, or ASTM standards

Technical Sales profile with ability to focus on technical solutions and customer benefits

Excellent communication skills and ability to strategize, target, and close potential clients

Self-starter who leverages business acumen, interpersonal skills, and relationships to be proactive and innovative

Persistent disposition with motivation to consistently achieve despite external factors

Adaptability to collaborate with individuals from different verticals and disciplines

US nationality or Green Card holder required

Preferred Skills

Background in valve manufacturing or distribution

Experience with severe service applications

Knowledge of LNG valve applications

Salary Position:

Base salary with commission structure

Commission:
