demonstrates a high level of expertise and leadership in inspecting, testing, and servicing fire sprinkler systems. Responsible for leading complex projects, mentoring junior technicians, and ensuring the safety and performance of sprinkler systems. Responsibilities Lead inspections, testing, and troubleshooting of sprinkler and preaction systems. Perform inspections of fire alarm, hazard systems, kitchen hoods, and preaction systems. Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues independently. Maintain detailed service records and reports. Mentor and supervise junior technicians. Participate in project planning and system design. Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize system performance. Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and standards. Ensure safety, quality, and customer satisfaction in all activities. Conduct site surveys, develop BOMs, and schedule upgrades. Create as-built redline drawings. Lead various-sized sprinkler projects. Perform internal inspections and testing over five years. Troubleshoot complex fire suppression issues. Coordinate pre-testing and acceptance testing with Fire Marshal. Develop relationships with clients and building managers. Interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints. Maintain inventory and respond to after-hours calls. Maintain industry certifications and grow technical skills. Conduct sprinkler system surveys for compliance and performance. Ensure adherence to codes and standards. Research materials and installation procedures. Qualifications High School Diploma required. 8+ years of relevant experience or 2-year tech degree plus 6 years experience. Certifications NICET II in Inspection and Testing or pass exam within 90 days. State Backflow Certification or obtain within 90 days. Fire Pump Test Certification or obtain within 90 days. Requirements Ability to obtain US Secret clearance. Attention to detail and professional work ethic. Knowledge of NFPA standards, NEC, OSHA, and fire sprinkler standards. Ability to work under stress and take responsibility. Strong communication and leadership skills. Abilities Lift at least 100 pounds, work at heights, and use ladders and lifts. Perform physical activities including climbing, reaching, and balancing. Good vision, hearing, and communication skills. Recognize problems and analyze information.
