Research Technician I – Yoon Lab
Join the Aging & Metabolism Research Program at Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation (OMRF) to investigate mitochondrial mechanisms underlying neurological diseases. The Yoon Lab leverages a pipeline that combines clinical data, genomics, Drosophila genetics, and patient‑derived stem cell models to uncover cellular and molecular disease pathways.
Responsibilities
Conduct Drosophila genetics experiments and culture cell line assays, including Western blot and RNA analyses.
Document experimental procedures, results, and data in the lab notebook.
Participate in weekly lab meetings and contribute to manuscript preparation.
Minimum Requirements
BS/BA in biological sciences, physics, chemistry, or related field, or equivalent lab experience.
Detail‑oriented, independent work ability, and strong teamwork skills.
Proficient in reading protocols, writing routine reports, and performing basic quantitative calculations.
Strong organizational skills and precise handling of samples and chemicals.
