This is a part time position. Primary responsibility is to take excellent care of our customers by satisfying each customer’s needs and exceeding their expectations. This requires a defined level of product knowledge, food preparation skills, sales ability, customer relations skills, and cooperation with fellow associates to create an incredible place to work and shop. Also responsible for preparing, processing, packaging, and stocking products according to Fresh Foods Standards. Providing customer service, cleaning work areas, unloading stock, and reloading salvage products according to Fresh Foods Standards. Responsibilities
Take care of customers by satisfying their needs and exceeding expectations; maintain product knowledge, food preparation, sales, and customer relations; cooperate with team to create an excellent place to work and shop. Prepare, process, package, and stock products according to Fresh Foods Standards. Provide customer service, clean work areas, unload stock, and reload salvage products according to Fresh Foods Standards. Qualifications

Personal skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills; willingness to complete required training and work with the team to increase customer satisfaction and sales. Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English. Ability to write simple correspondence in English. Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other associates who primarily speak English. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement. Reasoning Ability: Ability to follow instructions and carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions; deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Company training including new hire orientation, food sanitation, customer service network, safety, food safety, and product knowledge. Physical Demands: Stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; taste or smell. Occasionally climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Lift up to 30 pounds regularly (occasional up to 50 pounds). Additional Information
Posting Date: Oct 6, 2025 Compensation: Harris Teeter reasonably expects to pay between $18.35/hour and $22.00/hour for this role as a newly hired associate. Pay may depend on previous experience and skill sets of the applicant. Location and related roles
