Overview We are looking for a Sales Development Specialist, Chromatography, for our Sales BPS (BioProcess Solutions) Department. This position covers Spain and Italy and can be based in either country. It is a remote position with a maximum of 50% travel.

In this role, you will

support sales teams and customers

in identifying, positioning, evaluating and ensuring successful implementation of Sartorius Chromatography solutions and associated services. A strong technical foundation in bioprocess chromatography, coupled with commercial acumen, is required to drive optimization of customer processes. You will work cross-functionally with regional technical, sales teams, product management and product excellence to enhance market penetration and customer success. The goal is to seed and successfully implement new strategic products into the market to achieve Sartorius group sales targets for the specified products or product groups. You will collaborate with Account Management to manage the Opportunity lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Identify customer prospects in defined region for chromatography (consumables and systems) through close collaboration with field sales, leveraging product excellence plans and marketing initiatives.

Lead technical discussions with customers and internal teams to demonstrate the value of Sartorius Chromatography solutions.

Translate customer technical needs into Sartorius solutions in ongoing projects and opportunities.

Follow up on leads, own opportunities, and convert them into orders in collaboration with sales.

Ensure Sartorius products are seeded and adopted at subsequent clinical/commercial stages at customer sites.

Provide guidance and technical expertise in resin, membrane and monolith based chromatography in ongoing projects and field activities.

Be accountable for customer experience, supporting process optimization, trials and demos to maximize product performance.

Increase Sartorius reputation in the field by co-authoring case studies, application notes and success stories.

What Will Convince Us (Qualifications)

Academic degree in life sciences, engineering or related field; ideally Master or PhD.

Minimum 3 years of technical experience in biopharmaceutical projects/programs.

Strong understanding of bioprocess chromatography and current trends in process intensification.

Experience selling capital instrumentation and/or consumables/reagents is a plus.

Self-motivated, energetic and results-oriented personality.

Fluent in English and Spanish or Italian (written and verbal).

Excellent communication skills.

Hands-on knowledge and proactive use of SFDC and other CRM tools.
