Looking for an Outside Sales Rep in the Austin area! Mr. Greens has proudly grown into one of the largest privately-owned produce distributors in Texas and Florida. With deliveries 365 days a year, 7 days a week, and multiple runs per day, Mr. Greens has set the gold standard for service. Mr. Greens serves a large variety of clients, including restaurants, hotels, country clubs, caterers, grocery stores, and retail outlets. Responsibilities
Establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedules to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors. Focus sales efforts by studying the existing and potential volume of accounts. Submit orders by referring to price lists and product literature. Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, and product uses. Provide product information and practical training to customer personnel. Submits activity and results reports such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses. Stay up to date on trends by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc. Recommend changes in products, services, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments. Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to the management team. Attend and participate in sales and district meetings. Communicate and collect accounts receivable as necessary, working with the credit department and client; collect all balances due based on approved credit terms. Manage deliveries to the routing schedule published by the transportation department; troubleshoot any problems that occur during the order process (out-of-stock items, special order items, low inventory, etc.). Review and analyze daily and weekly reports such as special-order requests, customer bid files, and sales/gross profit margin data. Perform administrative duties, such as preparing sales budgets and reports, maintaining sales records, processing credits and pick-up requests, preparing sales quotes and menu suggestions, and filing reports. 2 years of outside business-to-business sales experience in the Food and/or Produce Industry. High school diploma required. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and time management skills. Ability to read, write, and speak English. Basic PC skills, proficiency in Excel, experience with MS Outlook. Must pass pre‑employment Background and Drug screen testing. Must live in the College Station area. Must be at least 21 years old. Physical Demand/Work Conditions
The employee is regularly required to drive, sit, stand, walk, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and telephone to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Benefits
