Sr. Inside Sales Representative – Milwaukee
SkyWater is excited to represent a leading company in the industrial distribution and automation industry, specializing in innovative solutions for burner management, combustion systems, and fluid power products. We are seeking a dynamic Inside Sales Representative to join their team in northern Milwaukee.
This full-time position offers an opportunity to work with cutting-edge automation and instrumentation technologies, providing customer-focused solutions in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You’ll play a key role in supporting customers by offering technical expertise, processing orders, and building strong relationships with vendors and internal teams. The role is ideal for someone with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset who thrives on delivering exceptional customer service and is eager to grow within the industry.
Responsibilities
Engage with customers via phone, email, or in-person to provide technical recommendations, process orders, and deliver pricing and availability updates
Collaborate with application engineers and account managers to develop tailored solutions for customer needs, including specifying parts based on product guides (e.g., connections, materials, or compression requirements)
Manage transactional tasks such as order entry, quotes, returns, and credits while maintaining accurate records
Act as a problem-solver, researching and resolving customer inquiries with professionalism and efficiency
Occasionally assist with light shipping and receiving tasks, depending on location
Desired Skills And Experience
2+ years of experience in industrial distribution, manufacturing, or fluid power products (experience in process measurement, flow control, or valves is a plus)
Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach to building professional relationships
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with ERP systems (e.g., P21) is preferred but not required
A self-motivated team player with a passion for problem-solving and learning complex product lines
High School Diploma or GED required; additional education in a related field is a plus
Background in automation or combustion systems is highly desirable
