Staff Accountant – Manufacturing Industry
We’re looking for a Staff Accountant to join our growing manufacturing team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in maintaining the company’s financial accuracy and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and tax regulations. You’ll handle journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting while supporting leadership with budgeting, forecasting, and special projects.
Key Responsibilities
Record monthly, quarterly, and annual journal entries accurately and on time.
Prepare balance sheets, income statements, and financial reports.
Perform account reconciliations and ensure proper ledger maintenance.
Handle sales, use, and property tax compliance.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and expense planning.
Participate in physical inventory counts and valuation reviews.
Support management with ad hoc reports and financial analysis.
Perform other accounting, financial, or administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Strong understanding of accounting principles and GAAP procedures.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Outlook, and Word).
Experience with ERP systems — Oracle, SAP, or Plex preferred.
Ability to analyze and manipulate data from multiple sources.
Knowledge of inventory cost valuation a plus.
Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic setting.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
MBA or advanced accounting coursework preferred.
Experience with general ledger functions and month-end/year-end close.
Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems.
