Position: Adult Protective Services Case Manager 2 Location: Augusta, Richmond County, Georgia (covering Burke, Jenkins, and Screven). Frequent travel required. Pay Grade
J Role and Responsibilities
Perform initial investigations of protective service reports and determine appropriate intervention within a standard of promptness. Evaluate the level of risk to clients and take appropriate action to ensure safety. Provide follow‑up, consultations and other applicable resources to stabilize situations and prevent further recurrence of abuse, neglect, or exploitation. Initiate the legal process for guardianship as a last resort for the protection of incapacitated adults. Maintain required documentation and complete reports within standards of promptness. Maintain knowledge of current policies, laws, trends and developments in the field by attending training sessions and meetings. Perform other professional responsibilities as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university. OR one (1) year of experience at the lower level Adult Protective Services Case Manager 1 or equivalent position. Preferred Skills and Qualifications
Experience working with client populations facing issues such as family violence, crisis intervention, substance abuse, or services to the elderly or disabled. Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services program. Possession of a valid driver’s license and consistent access to a vehicle for required work‑related activities. Employment Information
