Overview
A growing investment firm with a sterling reputation in Austin is seeking a detail-oriented Fund Accountant to join their team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and has a strong understanding of fund structures, financial reporting, and investor allocations.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for multiple investment funds
Handle daily accounting operations including journal entries, reconciliations, and NAV calculations
Assist in capital call and distribution processes
Maintain investor allocations and waterfall models
Coordinate with auditors and tax professionals during annual audits and filings
Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements
Work closely with portfolio managers and internal teams to provide financial insights
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
3+ years of experience in fund accounting, audit, or tax
Experience with fund administration software (e.g., Investran, eFront, Yardi, or similar) preferred
Advanced Excel skills
CPA or CPA-track a plus
