Overview
Salary up to $75K, depending on education and experience Successful, established privately held company is hiring a Manufacturing Accountant. Expand your accounting skills and work for a company with established accounting functions and be trained by the VP of Finance. Daily activities will include: Processing salary and hourly payroll for the site within ADP Completing accounts payable, accounts receivable and check runs Logging, recording and reconciling bank activity Completing the site closing process, including journal entries and analysis Assisting with the annual budgeting process Completing financial analysis projects Assisting with cash flow analysis and inventory adjustments Running accounting reports as needed Partnering with the VP of Finance to assist with P&L analysis Following through with collection calls as needed Supporting shipping functions and completing customer shipments and tracking Other duties as assigned by management
Responsibilities
Process salary and hourly payroll for the site (ADP).
Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable and check runs.
Log, record and reconcile bank activity.
Manage site closing processes, including journal entries and analysis.
Assist with the annual budgeting process and financial analysis projects.
Assist with cash flow analysis and inventory adjustments.
Run accounting reports as needed and support P&L analysis with the VP of Finance.
Support shipping functions, including customer shipments and tracking.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Ideally a Bachelor's degree; comparative experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a similar manufacturing accounting position.
Experience completing manufacturing accounting tasks (reconciliation, payroll, A/P, A/R, closing, etc.).
Willing to support shipping functions up to 40% of the time.
Microsoft Office proficiency.
Skills (preferred, but not required)
Experience processing payroll.
ERP experience.
Cost accounting.
Shipping experience.
Month-end and year-end closing.
