As the Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for handling all aspects of the firm’s payables, including invoice processing, expense tracking, vendor communication, and payment processing. This position requires excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Responsibilities
Process check request payments to clients and accurately record those payments to client costs Process vendor invoices after review for appropriate documentation and approval Identify and resolve exceptions such as previous balances; contact vendors to obtain additional information or to dispute discrepancies Maintain checklists for recurring vendor payments Communicate with internal and external personnel in a professional and timely manner Maintain accurate files and processes to maximize productivity Provide clerical support for the accounting department as needed Qualifications
Accounts Payable experience – minimum 3 years Understanding of basic accounting terms Proficient in QuickBooks software Strong time management and organizational skills Attention to detail Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; work independently and prioritize tasks Strong analytical abilities; professional, conscientious, and quick learner Excellent math and verbal skills (these skills may be tested) Ability to communicate well over the phone and in written correspondence Computer savvy (these skills may be tested) Previous customer service, collection, or accounting experience Company Culture and EEO
