Reading Partners Reading Partners is changing the education landscape. We leverage community volunteers in under-resourced schools to provide one-on-one tutoring to students twice weekly. Our mission is to help children become lifelong learners by empowering communities to provide effective, individualized instruction. This role supports the Finance team in budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis to maximize student outcomes through prudent resource allocation. This position is remote; hires should reside within states where Reading Partners operates: CA, CT, DC, MD, MN, NJ, NY, OK, SC, TX, WA, VA. What you’ll do

Financial Planning & Analysis – 50% Support the Managing Director of FP&A with the annual strategic planning process Build financial models and forecasting tools for long-term scenario planning Assist with budgeting and monthly forecasting; prepare variance analyses by region/function Educate leadership on key financial metrics and contribute to cash flow forecasting Analyze spending trends to optimize resource allocation Financial Operations – 40% Drive operational excellence by refining systems and processes Lead revenue planning and forecasting for short- and long-term deliverables Monitor actuals vs projections; analyze revenue pipeline with leadership Develop financial reports for quarterly Board meetings Support ad-hoc strategic analyses and FP&A deliverables Compliance Support – 10% Prepare financial reports for funders/donors and maintain grant documentation Assist with compliance filings and tracking loan covenants How you’ll do it

Full-time, exempt position. Salary range: $109,613 - $128,956, location-based. Comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, disability, life; FSA; paid time off; commuter benefits; 403(b) match). About you You’ll be successful in this role if you 5–7 years of FP&A experience Nonprofit experience is a plus; proven cross-functional partnership Strong analytical and financial modeling skills Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to convey financial concepts to non-finance colleagues Adaptable to changing priorities; able to manage multiple projects with deadlines Strategic and analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities Professional judgment Knowledge of financial planning software (e.g., Adaptive, Sage Intacct, Power BI, Cognos) preferred; Salesforce familiarity is a plus Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field Commitment to inclusion and collaboration; passion for the mission Bonus Points AmeriCorps, Peace Corps, or other national service experience Experience in launch or growth phases of organizations Seniority level: Director Employment type: Full-time Job function: Finance
