Job Description Frost Brown Todd LLP, a national law firm with over 1,000 legal and business professionals across seventeen markets, is seeking a full-time Collections Specialist to join our finance team. This role involves analyzing accounts receivable, engaging with billing attorneys and clients to ensure timely payments, and resolving billing issues. Key Responsibilities: Analyze accounts receivable at the client and matter level, collaborating with billing attorneys. Contact clients to secure timely payments and resolve challenging receivables professionally. Provide management with insights on payment trends, risks, and collection challenges. Make outbound collection calls, maintaining professionalism and customer relationships. Resolve billing issues promptly, minimizing accounts receivable delinquency. Identify issues causing delinquency and discuss solutions with management. Monitor assigned accounts and collection reports. Correspond with clients via phone, mail, fax, and email to encourage payment, maintaining professionalism. Communicate with attorneys about the status of overdue accounts and collaborate on collection efforts. Build relationships with billing, e-billing, and accounts receivable teams to ensure accurate posting and resolution of payments. Maintain records of clients' financial statuses and document collection efforts. Job Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent. At least 2 years of collections experience, interacting with a large customer base. Strong oral and written communication skills. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-changing environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access). Knowledge of Aderant Software. Understanding of math, finance, and billing cycles. Attention to detail and accuracy. Creativity, self-discipline, and the ability to complete tasks independently with urgency.
