Overview
POSITION SUMMARY: The Junior Licensed Insurance Representative works closely with the License Insurance Representatives, Senior License Insurance Representatives, Insurance Processors, Senior Account Managers, Account Managers, Licensed Insurance Agents, and Advisors. The primary duties are to provide accurate, timely, and professional service to members and staff in daily transactions and inquiries. This role is responsible for policy retention, member service, and sales support. Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred due to regular interaction with Spanish-speaking members. GreenState Insurance Responsibilities
Adhere to the Credit Union's core values and service standards in carrying out GreenState's mission and vision. Provide positive member service (internal and external) at all times and demonstrate teamwork in all duties. Maintain confidentiality of member information and support a diverse and inclusive work environment. Develop thorough understanding of the agency management system, insurance company sites, underwriting guidelines, and eligibility requirements; update policy information as needed and request exceptions from underwriting when necessary. Send binders of insurance for Producers/LIA’s; process mortgagee changes and send declaration pages upon request. Process change requests, contact underwriting for exceptions, collect and send required documents, and request extensions as needed. Handle client email requests, provide quotes, give advice on insurance products and services, submit claims, and guide clients through the claims process. Utilize DocuSign for sending/receiving signatures for applications and cancellations; process cancellations and cancellations requests as directed by Advisors, LIA’s, SAMs, and Processors. Research and resolve billing questions/discrepancies; obtain exceptions and extensions from companies as needed. Maintain continuing education credits as required by state license guidelines; comply with agency guidelines and procedures. Attend community, industry, and GreenState Insurance/Credit Union events; perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred. 0-2 years of related experience; insurance experience is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent (GED). Property and Casualty Insurance license required; must obtain within 30 days of hire date. Punctual, reliable, and able to work scheduled hours, with potential overtime as needed. Self-directed, able to work independently, and follow directions; capable of performing in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment with frequent telephone and personal interactions. Proficient with personal computers, calculators, agency systems, and various software; strong time-management and multi-tasking abilities. Strong analytical, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; able to make quick judgments with limited guidance; bondable. Compensation:
