Health RIGHT360 offers residential treatment services designed to serve individuals and families with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health disorders. Our program helps clients address addiction and related issues, increase skills, manage stressors, connect to supportive service, and build a foundation for lasting recovery. Residential programs run 24/7 and include individual and group therapy, family therapy, individualized case management, treatment planning, drug and alcohol counseling, medication support services, and crisis intervention. The Martin Luther King Jr. Behavioral Health Center (MLK BHC) is a program of HealthRIGHT 360 and is contracted with the Department of Public Health's Substance Abuse Prevention and Control (SAPC) program. MLK BHC offers residential Drug Medi-Cal (DMC) services for a maximum of 99 adult individuals, comprising 33 beds each for judicially involved men, men, and women. MLK BHC collaborates closely with other Behavioral Health Center programs to ensure a comprehensive range of services for low-income and Medi-Cal-eligible individuals. Situated on the Martin Luther King Jr. Hospital campus in the Willowbrook area of South Los Angeles, the program serves residents of all Los Angeles County. The Client Safety Navigator (CSN) fosters a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment. CSN works with program leadership, Sheriff’s or local law enforcement, and other teams to respond to emergency and crisis situations, including client drug use, overdose, programmatic interruptions, and other situations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Safety and Security: Ensure and maintain a safe and orderly environment for clients, staff, and visitors in compliance with agency and industry standards. Monitor security cameras, attend building security meetings, and work collaboratively with service providers and administrative staff. Clear areas of crowds, debris, and out-of-place items to maintain safety. Direct and deflect traffic, de-escalate tense situations, and maintain a positive, respectful demeanor even during high-pressure situations. Work collaboratively with other service providers and administrative staff to maintain an orderly environment. Remain alert and awake during the entire overnight shift, if applicable. Client and Visitor Management: Maintain client and visitor logs. Welcome and assist clients returning from appointments, ensure sign-in, and check belongings for contraband. Welcome visitors, check credentials, ensure sign-in, and escort them to the supervisor on duty. Crisis Intervention and Medical Assistance: Carry Narcan, recognize signs of overdose, and administer Narcan as necessary to reverse drug overdose. De-escalate emotionally charged situations and maintain non-confrontational behavior during observation and intervention. Facility Monitoring and Compliance: Make regular rounds to monitor entrances, exits, offices, common areas, and building perimeters. Work with local law enforcement and file incident reports as needed. Maintain appropriate boundaries and adhere to the organization’s code of conduct. All documentation must be maintained in compliance with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and other funding requirements to satisfy internal and external evaluating requirements. Administrative Duties and Professional Development: Attend and participate in meetings. Participate in and complete all assigned training. QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Certification, or Licensure High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree or higher preferred. Possess a valid First Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire. Experience Two years of job-related experience working with the criminal justice population or with the community behavioral health system preferred. Background Check and Other Requirements Must complete a background check and livescan. Must complete background check or livescan clearance.
