Overview

Clinical Quality Consultant role at Optum. Under general supervision, assists with development and management for patient experience projects and programs, providing program management support, team consultation, and small-scale improvement project facilitation, data analysis, synthesis, reporting and evaluation, and coordination/facilitation of program-based education or training. Program content focus may include patient experience, HOS/CAHPS performance, provider and team communication, and approaches to improving work processes and standard work. Evaluate, analyze and manage data related to service quality and patient experience. Plan, organize, and execute education programs for care providers, their teams, and network engagement partners. Location:

Las Vegas, NV. This position follows a hybrid schedule with three in-office days per week. Primary hours are 8:00am – 5:00pm PT, Monday – Friday, with possible overtime as needed. Schedule:

Full-time. Hybrid-remote with some in-office days. Primary Responsibilities

Program and Project Management Support and Targeted Improvement Project Facilitation: serve as a subject matter expert for quality and patient experience programs, project management, and lean improvement applications to improve workflow and build reliable methods; facilitate and support improvement with work plans, timelines, project support and documentation; recommend policy and procedure changes to improve patient care; build best practice models and tools for network-wide sharing; review/develop policies/procedures/guidelines/standard work with Operations and the Quality Department as needed. Coordination / Facilitation of Program Based Education or Training: plan, coordinate, and organize education programs or training for physicians and clinical staff; may provide training on program content including lean principles, methods and tools; facilitate and support Clinic clinical initiatives utilizing lean principles, methods and tools. Data Analysis, Synthesis, Reporting and Evaluation: assist teams to identify project measures, monitor trends, and use data to drive quality, patient safety and process improvement; collaborate with quality department data analysts and IT to provide relevant reports for project tasks. Qualifications

Required:

High School Diploma/GED (or higher); currently licensed LPN in the State of NV; current BLS Certification; 4+ years of Clinical LPN experience; 2+ years of experience using an electronic medical record system; intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet; reliable transportation; ability to keep sensitive documents secure; dedicated private work area; valid high-speed internet; ability to work 8:00am – 5:00pm PST, Monday–Friday with possible overtime. Preferred:

3+ years healthcare experience in programs such as patient experience, clinical quality or infection control; 1+ year experience with Lean methodology; 1+ year background in healthcare and managed care; telecommuter policy adherence. Benefits and Compensation

Pay is based on factors including location, experience, and certifications.
