Provides analytical and accounting support to VNS Health to meet its reporting and planning goals. Reports on volume, revenue, trends, aging, key business drivers, etc. Works independently utilizing various reports, budgets, and systems to compile financial reports. Prepare monthly reconciliation reports for various business units, investigating discrepancies. Prepare monthly volume analysis and accruals to support general ledger balances. Participate in the monthly close process, ensuring revenue reasonability, proper billing interface, and general ledger activity are properly recorded. Conduct trend analysis using select data to make revenue projections and analyze variances. Perform account and variance analysis for business units within the Accounting Division and other departments to maximize revenue. Collaborate with managers to improve cost efficiency and address issues. Complete reports such as Key Volume Drivers, Accounts Receivable schedule, Program Highlights (Actual vs. Budget), and Monthly A/R Aging report. Assist in financial planning for new programs, addressing billing interface issues, and designing performance indicator reports. Conduct account analysis, research items, and communicate findings to relevant departments. Develop and update departmental procedure manuals. Serve as a financial liaison to management and third-party vendors. Prepare reference materials for year-end audits. Provide analytical support to Senior Financial Management and other Finance staff as needed. Analyze State membership reports to ensure membership eligibility data is accurate and updated in membership systems. Oversee monthly premium billing for Medicare products, review billing reports, apply payments, and ensure billing accuracy and compliance. Maintain knowledge of Medicaid policies to ensure compliance with regulations related to Medicaid billing. Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Health Administration, or related discipline required. Work Experience: Minimum two years of relevant experience required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, required. Strong analytical skills and understanding of finance and accounting principles required. Effective communication skills required. Healthcare finance experience required. Data manipulation skills with SQL (Snowflake, Dbeaver, SQL Server) preferred. Pay Range
