By simplifying the workflow process for our mortgage partners, we can deliver a consistent and reliable platform leading to more efficient, faster closings. Position Overview
In order to continue to provide our clients with competitive loan options while minimizing our risk, our company seeks the professional services of two (2) Underwriters to work under the direction of the Underwriting Credit Analyst Manager to assess the financial risk of mortgage applications by analyzing clients’ financial data and documents. The Underwriters will ensure all loan documentation is in compliance with government regulations, as well as with our internal standards and procedures. Responsibilities
Identify and collect documents needed for efficient and timely review of new and existing clients’ mortgage loan requests; Review loan requests and prepare reports for the Underwriting Credit Analyst Manager which include the degree of risk involved in extending a mortgage loan to a client based on the client’s credit data, income, assets, property, and other financial data; Utilize credit risk analysis software such as Desktop Underwriter and Loan Product Advisor to evaluate a client’s financial status and future re‑paying ability; Compare bank products available in the current market and prepare reports showing which products present profitable opportunities for our company based on various factors including discounts, interest, debt ratio, and more; Perform audits to check all loan documentation for completeness and accuracy and compliance with government regulations and our internal standards and procedures; Maintain knowledge of relevant federal and state law regulations for the mortgage industry; Perform ad hoc credit research and analysis projects as assigned; Qualifications
2 years’ experience in mortgage auditing and financial document review at a mortgage company; Proficient in credit risk analysis software including Desktop Underwriter and Loan Product Advisor;
